MAINTENANCE SUGGESTIONS cloths are safe in washer and dryer. Wash with low lint items, any brand of soap without bleaches or softeners. Do not use with Chemical Cleaners.
The best way to clean microfiber is to place in a hot washing machine with low lint items (not towels) and dry in the hot dryer for 60 minutes - the heat of the dryer is the best way to ensure the bacteria is completely eliminated. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Microfiber cloths can also be washed with a dish or laundry soap between laundering in a machine. (some hand soaps contain oils which will clog the cloths)
Boiling on the stove-top is another option to kill bacteria - suggested time is 15 minutes. In hard water communities add 1/3 cup white vinegar and a drop or two of dish soap in a large pot of water with like colors. Boiling disinfects and causes the fibers to swell releasing trapped grease and dirt. The new antibacterial enviro cloths do not need to be boiled as the silver agent will naturally kill bacteria over the drying period, however, to refresh cloths (especially the window cloth) to like new and to release debris, the cloths can be boiled.
The Antibacterial Enviro Cloth fiber is so fine that one cloth literally contains 2.9 million meters of fiber. For maximum effectiveness, fold the enviro cloth twice so that there are 8 sides to collect bacteria, dirt and dust. Each side is the equivalent of two paper towels.
